GES to undertake a 2-week monitoring of JHS and SHS across Ghana
The Ghana Education Service will embark on 2-week monitoring of Junior High School (JHSs) and Senior High School (SHSs) across the country.
In a letter from the GES copied to Edulearnweb.com, the Pre-Tertiary Education management body indicated it has given the green light to the Reformed Secretariat, NaCCA, GES, PBME, and NTC to act as per the directive.
According to the GES, the 2-week monitoring exercise will be used to collect data to inform policy practice and to cause correction if required as JHS and SHS2 reopen in the era of COVID-19.
The letter signed by Dr. Kwabena Bempeh Tandoh, The Deputy-Director General (Q&A) stated that the 2-week monitoring exercise will be held from 12th – 23rd October 2020.
The directive came with selected schools in all 16 regions to be visited for the monitoring programme.
