2020/2021 National Service not postponed – NSS
The leadership of the Ghana National Service Scheme (NSS) has denied reports circulating on social media that it has postponed the 2020/2021 National Service for graduate completing their tertiary education this year.
The annual service by tertiary institution graduates is to start in September 2020 amid the outbreak of COVID-19.

The Ghana National Service Scheme (NSS) debunked the publications by some online news portal which suggested that NSS would not post the national-service-ready-graduates, because of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
The false publications also cited the temporal closing of schools as another contributing factor.
Finally, the false publication said the NSS had postponed the posting of graduates for one year.
The fake National Service news further stated that the service had declared September as an annual leave period for all service personnel.
The above information is false per the official information from the management of the Ghana National Service (NSS).
The service has indicated that it will use its official communication channels to communicate all information the public and personnel need to know.
The general public and all other stakeholders have therefore been asked to disregard the news circulating and treat it as false.
Thus the 2020/2021 National Service period has not been postponed.
The national service does not post students who have graduated from the various tertiary institutions to only educational institutions at all levels, hence the information released into the public domain is invalid.
