2020 Nov/Dec timetable to be release later – WAEC
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), says it will release the official 2020 Nov/Dec timetable for the 2020 WASSCE Private examination at a later date.
The 2020 WASSCE Private examination has been delayed due to the COVID-19
The Council had for the past months proactively extended the Nov/Dec registration deadline to enable interested applicants who amid the outbreak of the novel coronavirus were not able to register to do so.
As of now the starting date of the private examination has not yet been announced by Council, however, it has said the 2020 Nov/Dec timetable will be made available to students and the public at the appropriate time.
Nov/Dec WASSCE Private examination is usually conducted from November and ends December every year, but it is currently unclear what month this examination will be scheduled to take place amid COVID-19 that has delayed activities of WAEC.
The Head of School Examination at the Ghana office of the West Africa Examination Council, Mr Godfred Addo in a zoom interview monitored by Georgeweb.org said the 2020 Nov/Dec timetable will be released later.

The West African Examinations Council said its decision to extend the Nov/Dec 2020 WASSCE Private examination registration deadline as a result of the impact of the novel coronavirus on the examination calendar of the West African Examination Council.
The delay in the release of the time table for the The 2020 Nov/Dec timetable implies all students who were hoping to complete their registration processes with the various tertiary education institutions for the 2020 academic year are likely not to start their tertiary education this year.
This inconvenience was not anticipated and the COVID-19 may have temporally halted the dreams of the many who were preparing to sit the examination ahead of the closing date for admission into colleges, universities and other institutions across the country.
