2020 SHS Placement Documents to PRINT and what to do after? Check the facts
Do you know the 2020 SHS Placement Documents to print, other documents to take along to your school? If you answer no, then keep reading.
What to do after printing your 2020 SHS Placement is worth knowing even as you wait for the 2020 School Placement to be released by the Ghana Education Service on Sunday, 21st February 2021.
Students who are successfully placed automatically and those who get placed in a school through the self-placement module must take certain steps after printing the placement results.
How many documents do you print from the school placement portal?
Over the years two sets of documents that add up to three pages are printed. These are
1. 2020 SHS Placement Documents: Candidate Placement Information Form
It is a one-page document and often the first to be printed.
The Candidate Placement Information page contains details such as the candidate’s name, SHS he or she has been placed in, index number, and gender (Male/Female)
Other vital information on this document is the JHS attended and Programme offered to the student in the school he or she has been placed.
There is additional information as to which region and district the school is located, as well as the school reopening date and type of accommodation offered (Dat or Boarding)
At the bottom of this document, the candidate’s core subjects and best two other subjects used to calculate the student’s grade and the raw score are indicated along with the aggregate obtained and the Total score (Raw score)
2. 2020 SHS Placement Documents: Enrolment Form
The enrolment form is just like they typical admission form parents fill for their wards when accessing admission into a school.
It has a space for the candidate’s Passport Picture and other vital information such as the programme the student has been offered.
The student is supposed to fill the portion on the left of the form by providing personal information such as Date of birth, place of birth etc. Particulars of Guardian or parent must also be provided on the form.
In addition, the student is required to indicate their area of interest in extracurricular activities such as debates, sports, etc (Hobbies) as well as any leadership positions held while studying at the basic school.
At the end of the form, the student is required to read a pre-written bond to be of good behaviour. Once all these details are provided, the placement form and all other requirements must be submitted to the SHS leadership in the school placed.
When the headteachers confirm the student’s admission into the school, they will often issue a prospectus to the student and indicate the day of reporting for both day and boarding students.
All SHS 1 students are expected to be in school from 10th March hence students and parents should not expect to see Gold and Green track on their admission forms but rather Single Track.
