2020 WASSCE Results Update From WAEC To Candidates
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has debunked news making rounds that it has released the 2020 WASSCE Results for school candidates.
In a press statement by the outfit, signed by Agnes Teye-Cudjoe(Mrs), The Head, Public Affairs, WAEC disclosed that it has completed the coordinating and marking phase of the 2020 WASSCE and it is currently processing the results of candidates.
It added that the council is currently engaged in other equally important post-examination activities ahead of the WASSCE 2020 results release.
The council has therefore cautioned all 2020 WASSCE candidates who took part in the examination for school candidates to be careful with websites that have published that the results have been released by the council.
WAEC called on all organizations to ensure they cross-check the results of candidates anytime they are presented to them. Schools (Tertiary institutions) and employing organizations must take this advice seriously.
They can confirm the authenticity of results submitted to them by requesting for result confirmation from the examining body.
This caution has become necessary due to the frequent advertisements on social media about the upgrading of results.
Some candidates who do not perform well in their examinations, out of frustration and an attempt to use quick but inaccurate means to improve their grades, opt for the services of fraudsters who promise to change their results for them at a fee.
The West African Examination Council does not engage in such fraudulent activities, and the only genuine and rewarding way to improve your results is to take your studies an inch higher at school or during your remedial preparations. Keeping your focus, hard work and discipline can help you prepare very well. This way you increase your chances of performing well and obtaining grades you can be proud of.
Until the WASSCE 2020 results are released, students are advised to remain calm.
