Coronavirus: Five teachers test positive in one school after reopening
Five teachers tested positive for coronavirus in the same school in Suffolk after school reopened. According to information gathered by edulearnweb.com, there are two more staff waiting for their test results.
The reported and confirmed cases are a disappointment for the school and other schools in the UK.

After five teachers tested positive for coronavirus in Suffolk, it compelled Samuel Ward Academy in Haverhill to close its doors on Monday as a “precautionary measure”, to avoid a similar occurrence. Their decision was in line with advice from the office of Public Health England.
The Headteacher, Andy Hunter disclosed that the decision of Samuel Ward Academy was to ensure the safety of staff and pupils at the school and that their well being was his biggest priority.
“I will be looking closely at the systems we put in place to try to understand how the transmission occurred and to make sure we do everything possible to limit the chances of the same thing happening again.” He said.
According to him, the unfolding events was a huge disappointment after working so hard to get the school back up and running,” .
He promised to monitor systems put in place, understand how the transmission occurred then evolve improved systems to reduce the chances of any transmission occurring again in the future.
The suspension of academic work again for the school term after the leadership of the school had jealously guarded and designed monitoring and precautionary systems meant a lot more had to be done to ensure the safety of all within the school environment.
The school will embark on what he called a deep clean to get in contact with anyone who had had contact with the infected staff. Such persons will be required to self-isolate.
Stuart Keeble, director of public health at Suffolk County Council, said: “Understandably, this news may worry parents across Suffolk, but it is important to remember that the risk of children contracting Covid-19 is still very small.
“Evidence suggests that children are more likely to contract Covid-19 at home.”
However, reports from independent.co.uk have indicated that thee more school have recorded cases.
