This planned demonstration comes hours after the GES release a statement to employ the 2019 batch of trained teachers from the colleges of education without any mention of teachers trained in the various public universities across the country.

The demonstration is expected to last for 3 hours, at 11:00 am we will return to the Independence square, then we depart peacefully.
The group called on the Ghana Police to be present to provide the needed security.
We must however note that this notification does not in any way amount to seeking permission to demonstrate and or picket from the police as your office has often misconstrued such notice in the past and purported to refuse to grant such “permission”. The import of this notice is to bring to your attention that there shall be a peaceful demonstration consequent to which your good office is enjoined the law to provide security to the demonstrators: They stated.
The Unemployed University Graduate Teachers seem to have been neglected for long because of policies of Ghana Education Service. The current recruitment policy favours teachers trained in colleges of education which is not fair.
