GES challenges Legacy Arrears claimants to provide proof for payment
The Ghana Education Service has decided to look into the numerous complains by over 11,000 teachers claiming they were not paid their Legacy Arrears.
The education ministry aim at bringing to finality, the Legacy Arrears brouhaha. According to a letter to this effect copied to edulearnweb.com, the GES is calling on all (11,420) affected staff who applied for their legacy arrears and where but were not paid to submit documents to support their claims.
The GES required all such complainants to who lay claims to unpaid Legacy Arrears to submit their relevant documents for verification purposes.

Such teaching staff are to submit their 1st Appointment letter/ promotion/ upgrade letter, the Assumption of duty letter and their first payslip with payment of arrears.
Other documents required by the GES to authenticate their claims are the Assumption of duty letter among others.
The service has given affected staff of the GES up to October 7th to make the documents available.
