The government of Ghana through the Ministry of Health will start the recruitment of some 22,063 health workers from 2nd November 2020.
In a public announcement from the Ministry of Health dated 29th October, the ministry revealed it has received financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance to recruit health professionals into the health service delivery agency.
The recruitment of health workers which kick starts in November is expected to beef up the number of health professionals across Ghana to deliver quality health service.
The health workers to be recruited from November 2nd to December 31st include 300 Pharmacy & Pharmacy Doctors, 3,456 Allied Health Professionals, and 18,307 Professional nurses who completed their training in 2018. The third group included all holders of Degree, Diploma, and Certificates.
The Ministry of Health has further directed that all qualified applicants are to apply for the respective openings on the Ministry of Health portal https://hr.moh.go.gh.
Applicants are expected to use their Index Numbers or PIN and follow the instructions to select their preferred agency under the ministry
The application process and Recruitment of health workers (Pharmacy & Pharmacy Doctors) category starts on 2nd November and ends on 6th November.
The Allied Health Professionals recruitment commences on 4th November and ends on 15th November, while the Professional nurses’ recruitment would commence on 15th November and close on 31st December 2020.
