Pay Day for Teachers Professional Development Allowance is November ending – Napo
The Professional Development Allowance for teachers promised by the government will be paid at the end of November 2020. Both teaching and non-teaching staff of the Ghana Education Service will receive this allowance.
This allowance is to be used by the staff of the Ghana Education Service to support their individual professional development as teachers under the education service.
At the end of November, teachers and non-teaching staff who meet the minimum requirements for the allowance will be expecting their accounts to be credited.

Update from Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh the Education Minister has disclosed that professional teachers who have been validated will be paid their allowance this (November).
Teachers’ professional allowance according to him would be to the tune of GH₵ 1,200 and GH₵ 800 for non-professional and unvalidated teachers respectively.

The Minister of Education and Member of Parliament (MP) for the Manhyia South Constituency made this known in an interview on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo morning show monitored by Edulearnweb. He told the host, Kwame Sefa Kayi, and listeners the ministry and the GES are compiling the needed data at the regional level.
“The regions are compiling the data of the teachers, by November this year all teachers will be paid their Professional Development allowance, it will be added to their November salary”, NAPO told host of Kokrokoo show’.
Whiles teachers and non-teaching staff wait patiently for the match talked about Teachers’ professional development allowance, those who are yet to receive their unpaid legacy arrears are also calling on the government to ensure its promise to pay their arrears is honoured at the end of November 2020.
NAPO noted that this year’s development allowance will be added to teachers in the public sector November salary end of the month.
