Pay Legacy Arrears, NABCO Arrears Before December 7th or
Pay Legacy Arrears, NABCO Arrears Before December 7th or is the simple message from teachers and NABCO trainees waiting for their duly earned incomes.
The 2020 election is just around the corner, but teachers are still waiting for their Legacy Arrears to be paid by the government. Those who missed out and had to refurnish the Ghana Education Service with relevant documents still have their faith hanging.
The government has promised to settle this in November 2020, teachers who find themselves in this unfortunate group can not wait any longer.
In a related development, NABCO trainees are also lamenting over several months of unpaid stipend by the secretariat in charge.
Their cry might have reached the authorities yet, nothing seems to be coming out of it. Their request to be made permanent staff by the current government has also not seen a positive ray of light shine on it.

To press home their demands, teachers owed legacy arrears and NABCO trainees whose stipend is outstanding have called on the government to be cautious with how it deals with their issues at the end of November.
In the absence of the payment of the legacy arrears and NABCO trainees allowances, they promised to let their votes in the December general election speak for them.
NABCO trainees are feeling the heat and the government needs to take action to restore its credibility and the confidence trainees have in NABCO. Sampled views from the NABCO trainees’ Facebook page shows that a cross-section of trainees feel no single politician thinks nor cares about the youth and their future, yet the same youth with no future are out there are shouting different slogans from politicians when their jobs are not secured and their stipend is in arrears.
There NABCO trainees who are owed nearly 12 months of unpaid stipend and there seems to be no hope in sight.
