Protect the integrity of WASSCE – GES
The Education Service has, in the wake of fake WASSCE questions and attempts to leak questions, called on all to help protect the integrity of WASSC. It further called for vigilance to help avoid all forms of malpractices that dent the image of the examination.

Protect the integrity of WASSCE call by GES
In this spirit, The Ghana Education Service (GES) has called for the needed support to guard the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) from acts that make it lose its credibility.
A statement signed by Ms. Cassandra Twum Ampofo, Head of the Public Relations Unit of the GES called on regional and district directors of education and all WAEC WASSCE 2020 invigilators appointed to team up against all forms of examination malpractices. This GES believes is one sure way of protecting the integrity of the Examination.
The statement cited the taking of Whatsapp shots of questions and question papers which are then circulated and with the aim of creating mischief that questions for the examination have been leaked.
All supervisors of the ongoing examination have been cautioned to take extra care and desist from all detestable acts and practices that undermine their integrity and the credibility of the examination.
It further added that all reported cases of examination malpractices will be investigated and those found at the wrong side of the law will face its full arm and wrath if found guilty.
Candidates writing the WASSCE 2020 have also been cautioned to take extra care and avoid all attempts to engage in activities that may directly or indirectly undermine the WASSCE and its credibility.
WAEC has introduced a new technology for detecting examination malpractices during WASSCE and has encouraged all final year students writing the WASSCE 2020 to prepare well for the exams and do independent work. It called on students to also be mindful of the dangers of all forms of examination misconduct and their implications.
The statement added that, misconduct by the students could amount to their suspension and or cancellation of their results and that these punishments have negative effects on their future prospects.
