Some traders were working alongside the road when a commercial Toyota Commota drove off the road and ran them over at Suame.
According to a witness, two other people were injured severely and then taken straight to the Tafo Government Hospital.
The incident happened early on Thursday when a commercial Toyota Commota with the license plate AS 3987-13 went off the road and ran down some roadside vendors.
Mr. Kofi Richard, a passenger in the car at the time of the accident, told the tale.
He claimed that the car was packed with people traveling from Pankrono to Kejetia.
The automobile went off the road as it approached the Suame Roundabout, crushing three vendors.
Before she was rescued and taken to Tafo Government Hospital, one of the women, who is said to be in her middle 40s, was stuck under the automobile for almost 20 minutes.
But shortly after arriving at the hospital, health professionals declared her dead.
Two other victims of the vehicle accident are responding to treatment.
The Suame Divisional Police Command has detained the driver while it conducts its inquiry.
