Diploma in Basic Education Results FALL OUTS
The University of Cape Coast has also indicated that only candidates who have cleared their financial obligations including full payment for the exams will be able to access their results.
“The results of the newly trained teachers are ready but we will only release the results to them if they pay their examination fees owed the Institute. We were very charitable to them before the exams by allowing them to sit for the examinations due to the challenges COVID – 19 presented. However, our checks have revealed that all trainees were paid their allowances so we expect them to do the needful and get access to their results”.
The above is a comment from an employee of the school who pleaded for anonymity. The official further revealed that …
“all Newly Trained Teachers /Colleges that have paid their examination fees will gain access to their results”.
Dr Samuel Awinkene Atintono, Principal of Accra College of Education speaking on the new development said
“before the exams, we noticed that Institute of Education – UCC had asked students to pay their examination fees directly into their account but a majority of students did not pay. Personally, in Accra College of Education, I had to plead with the Institute of Education – UCC that the best thing to do was to allow them to write the exams and when the time comes for the results to be released, they can hold it until the students clear themselves. We had some communication with the student leadership and I informed the students during the exams. As it stands, I don’t think that should be a problem because the government has done well by paying them their allowances and the feeding grants to the College”.
“In my College, we are taking steps to use the feeding grants which gets to the College to pay the fees for those who have not paid to enable them to have access to their results as soon as possible”.
