MoE to provide financial relief to private school teachers
Information reaching Edulearnweb.com indicates that the Ministry of Education is to provide financial relief to private school teachers, however, this will only be possible if they register with the Private Schools Teachers Association.

MINISTRY OF EDUCATION PROMISES PRIVATE SCHOOL TEACHERS
THERE IS NO NEED FOR DEMONSTRATION
The National Council of Private School Teachers (NACOPST) was invited by the Ministry of Education after they have requested to meet the officials of the ministry of education
The meeting was held on the 4th September 2020.
Executives present for the meeting were from NACOPST, MOE, GES, NTC and National Inspectorate Board (NIB).

The minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh chaired the meeting. The Director General of Education, Prof. Kwasi Opoku Amankwa, the Director of NTC, Mr. Christian Addai Poku and Executive Secretary for National Inspectorate Board, Dr.Haggar Hilda Ampadu and other top officials were present
The National Director of the Council, (NACOPST). Mr Ackon James introduced the Council and the executives to the top officials of the Ministry of Education, GES, NTC and NIB.
The Ministry of Education warmly welcomed the association (Council) and the executives.
The council put before the minister of education and his executives present of the plight of teachers in the private schools in Ghana and requested for financial interventions to cushion the lives of their members
The council went further to talk about minimum wage and SSNIT Contribution for their members (Teachers in the private schools)
The minister of education took his time to advice and educate the executives on the association, SSNIT and Minimum wage
The Minister of education enlightened the executives on the request of the association (council) concerning the plight of teachers and the financial interventions the council is requesting.
The council wishes to inform the members to wait patiently for the ministry of education on the responds to our request
