Basic advice to WASSCE candidates for the exams
There are basic things candidates must do to guard against failing the exams. These include writing their full name and in ink in the spaces provided on their question and answer booklets.
The use of the recommended 2B pencil is critical and must be adhered to or else their objective test may not be marked well by the electronic marking machine for your information WAEC has introduced a new technology for detecting examination malpractices during WASSCE.
Students are also advised to skip challenging questions and solve others, then come back to them later instead of wasting time on it and losing marks from attempting others. Often that is a super way to keep your focus and confidence.
We also encourage students to be mindful of the time they allocate to each question and sub-questions.
Writing fast, providing accurate answers in good handwriting that is clear and readable is key.
Arranging your answer in an orderly manner helps in the long run.
