A police autopsy report revealed that 32-year-old Shadrach Arloo, the main suspect in the West Hills killing investigation, died of asphyxiation and obstruction of his throat by a foreign body.
The dead had really consumed what the police assumed to be marijuana, according to the autopsy report.
Eight zipped packets of dry leaves linked with a piece of black polythene and potentially drug-related were discovered by the police pathologist in the deceased's throat.
The retrieved suspected narcotic drug was identified as cannabis after being subjected to forensic testing in front of all parties concerned.
Ghana's Police Service has said it is "shocking" that people who had access to all the relevant information would act as if they were unaware of its investigation.
The police have urged the general public to maintain restraint and tolerance with problems under their investigation.
