Blogging is all about the volume of website traffic you generate to your site. Succeeding in catching the eye of visitors online with your content goes beyond having a well-written post.
Per the statistics out there, there were 500 million blogs as the end of 2019 and WordPress online has an estimated 60 million blogs live.
To get identified by the millions who visit the World Wide Web daily requires skills, technique, and high standards. If you want to increase your website traffic, read on.
This means a blog or news article or report that lacks quality, credibility, and suffers from other negatives will not be noticed at all or will be ignored by readers.
The World Wide Web has introduced journalists to new writing forms. It’s a big market of millions across the world hunting for the most relevant news that meets their needs.
Below are the steps and actions you can take or follow to create your articles or stories to get noticed.
There are several approaches and these ones shared here are not in any particular order.
#1 Write Compelling Titles
The title must be great and have power words that reflect the content but not all the information in there to make readers want to read and find out more.
Ask your self what title will engage your attention and make you click a link to read a story online? Don’t trick visitors with clickbait titles. That is unethical. Don’t attempt to increase your website traffic by doing the wrong things, you can lose your AdSense account if you do.
In writing this content, I could have chosen to say “How to do an article/report for a news site” But I picked “8 ways to triple website traffic to your online content without click baits”
So master the crafting of great titles because they help those online make a decision whether to click the content for all the information you have put out.
#2 Know your audience
To triple website traffic to your online content, research the topic you want to write on and find out the needs of those who would be interested in the content. This will help you pick up issues or points to be discussed in the article that get their problems solved.
I am sure that this content is doing just that. Write and edit with online readers’ needs and habits in mind. Web usability studies show that readers tend to skim over sites rather than read them intently.
If your website publishes stories on sports, education, and politics, but most of your readers visit education articles, then produce more quality content on education because that is the niche that sells better on your site.
Think about your target audience. Because your readers are getting their news online,
If your site potentially has a global reach, work hard to meet the needs of your global audience, and naturally increase your website traffic. Thick global and tailor the content to them.
#3 Develop a story plan and gather facts
If you fail to have a plan for the content, you will write by accident. For instance, in writing this post, I researched the headaches of online writers and bloggers. This helped to appreciate their most asked question on increasing traffic. Then I came out with the need points and key issues.
With the guide, you can now collect the needed facts from interviews. Notes and audio recordings from the event you attended can also help.
Cross-check with the individuals or companies involved and with top portals to find out what they are saying about the same topic.
Break your content into segments with subheadings if possible. Tell the story differently and tailor it to your online readers.
Think fast, different, and hook readers for the needed website traffic
Your readers are not on your site for fun but for information. They are on the move, serve them the information they need quickly and in a piecemeal form to keep them for a while.
Very long stories are left unread or dumbed along the way unless the information is very key and well explained in each paragraph.
Online readers need to be feed with information fast and now. Keep this in mind if you really want to triple website traffic to your content.
Tell the reader quickly what the story is about and why they should keep reading — or else they will exit and never come back.

#4 Hook readers fast and swift
With regards to catching the attention of the visitor who sees your URL or title, hook them with the relevant facts or the most important information in paragraph one. Carry them along and release the rest one paragraph at a time.
Create suspense and take them on a journey. If all the information is provided in the first few paragraphs, they will leave the site before you complete the post.
Deploy or use statistics where possible to back the content and make it credible. In this context, I have made you aware of the number of blogs out there.
Use quality images that relate to the story, it helps make a good impression for the story when the right image is chosen in addition to the title.
I have seen popular journalists produce stories poorly, although they had good stories to tell. Do not throw all the facts into the middle or end of the post.
#5 Use quality image(s) and videos/audios
To increase your website, traffic also considers using the right images. Use good images that add to and reflect the title. This with the title can make the story go viral.
Add videos or audios if any and include a hint in the title. Example [Video] 8 ways to triple website traffic to your online content without click baits. Quality images must be sharp and could be gotten for free from Pixabay.com
#6 Write lively and tighter
Write lively and tighter and use punchier. Use the active voice often in your write up.
According to an online dictionary, an active voice describes a sentence where the subject performs the action stated by the verb.
It follows a clear subject + verb + object construct that’s easy to read. Use a conversational style in writing the content. This helps your audience connect with the content.
#7 Break it up idea per sentence
One idea per sentence is key to producing content that sells. Write short paragraphs that are clear and interesting. Where necessary provoke the thoughts of readers or be controversial. Create space in between paragraphs as they make your story easy to read.

Read the content aloud and listen to yourself. This can help fine-tune sentences and introduce variety. When content is finally published, share it on social media.
Create social media pages or handles for your website, join pages or groups that may be interested in your content, and share your content with them.
