MoE denies release of BECE 2021 computer school placements
The Ministry of Education (MoE) has described misleading and false viral reports circulating on various social media platforms indicating computer school placements of candidates who sat for 2021 BECE for School are out.
Yaw Opoku Mensah, the Deputy Spokesperson for the Education Ministry Wednesday clarified students, for now, are to confirm and verify their selected schools at csspsverify.com and not necessary check their school placement.
The Public Relations Officer has urged members of the general public, particularly students who participated in the just-ended national examination to treat as false any information indicating the computer school placements are out.
“Disregard the headline on TV3 online portal. The placement has not been released. GES is only asking candidates, teachers and schools to verify and confirm their choices for smooth placement when the process begins,” he noted.
His clarification comes after the Ghana Education Service (GES) on Tuesday said 2021 BECE graduates from February 16, 2022, to February 22, 2022, are to confirm and verify their school choices online at https://csspsverify.com.
In a statement copied to EducationWeb, the Management of the Education Service said the schools’ confirmation and verification process form part of efforts to ensure a smooth placement of students into various secondary schools.
“Parents, candidates and teachers are to be informed that bulk SMS of the schools selected will be sent to the contact numbers provided by candidates during the school selection,” Service stated in a press statement on Tuesday.
Prospective students who sat for the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) has been urged to check and immediately notify their heads of schools of any errors detected in the process for corrections to be made.
“Management wishes to indicate that apart from the bulk messages that would be sent to all contacts, parents and candidates can dial *899*88# and follow the instructions to verify choices made via USSD,” GES noted in the release.
Director-General of the Service, Prof Kwasi Opoku Amankwa has disclosed the 2021 computer school placement of candidates who participated in the just-ended national exams will be released after the 2021 BECE results are out.

“So after the non-profit-making organization (WAEC) has released the results online, we will take two or three months to work on the placement of the candidates before they later report to school on April 4, 2022,” Prof Opoku noted.
The Management of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), according to the Minister for Education, Honourable Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum is expected to release the 2021 BECE for School results in late February this year.
