OMG: How This Tribe Live Their Life Without Technology Will Shock You
The Korowai are a nomadic indigenous people group from Papua, Indonesia, who make their home in the tropical rain forest. They have kept their culture alive for generations despite living in one of the most remote and inaccessible parts of the world. But with the advent of new technologies, the Korowai clans have seen dramatic advances in their health and happiness. The Korowai people relied extensively on traditional medicine before the development of modern medical science.
This usually entailed consulting the local shaman or healer, who specialized in the use of natural remedies and folk medicine, to alleviate health problems. But, with the introduction of cutting-edge technology and highly qualified medical personnel, the Korowai people now have access to a broader choice of treatment options. For the Korowai, mobile medical clinics have been a game-changer in terms of access to healthcare. These clinics, manned by medical experts, go to outlying sections of the rainforest to deliver care to people who would otherwise have no access to it.
The clinics have state-of-the-art medical equipment, such as ultrasound machines, X-ray machines, and laboratories. This has allowed for the detection and treatment of a broader spectrum of diseases and injuries than ever before. The Korowai have benefited from advances in communication technology as well as mobile medical clinics. With the advent of mobile phones and satellite internet connections, it is now much simpler for medical professionals to communicate with one another and share necessary data and tools. Because of this, Korowai residents can more easily reach out to doctors and nurses in times of crisis or to arrange for preventative care like checkups and immunizations.
On the whole, the Korowai clans’ health and happiness have improved greatly since the advent of modern technology. They are better able to take charge of their health and address issues when they arise now that they have easier access to medical care and better lines of communication. The Korowai people are still committed to their traditional way of life, but with the help of modern technologies, they can enjoy longer healthier, and more productive lives. Although technology is what is controlling the world now, do you think the people of Korowai should change their ways and adopt modern technology, forgetting their way of life?
