OMG! Native Doctor Reveals Why Bulletproof Charm He Prepared Failed To Protect Cultist Client Who Was Shoot Dead
QUDUS Ogun State police command arrested a native doctor named Shodimu, 44, for allegedly helping cultists by making charms to deflect bullets aimed at them. Shodimu has admitted to making such charms but claims that the cultist who was killed by rivals close to his home brought some herbs and concoctions that he used to make his own. The native healer, who had attempted to create a bulletproof charm for the deceased, blamed the failure on the concoction.
Reports came in on April 30 that members of the feared Aiye Confraternity had gathered in the Elega area of Abeokuta in preparation for a supremacy battle with their rival cult group, Eiye Confraternity, according to the state commissioner of police, Olanrewaju Yomi Oladimeji, who spoke to journalists. According to the police commissioner, after receiving the report, the anti-cultist team, along with members of the So-Safe Corps, headed to the location. Reports indicate that upon seeing the police operations, the cultists opened fire but were ultimately defeated.
According to CP Oladimeji, two of the cultists were killed in the confrontation: Noah Ayobami, also known as Anobi 7, and Azeez Ololade, also known as Bouncing. Oluwaseun Adebowale, also known as Eko, and the native doctor Shodimu were also arrested as a result of this incident. They had a double-barreled gun built locally, along with five knives, a war axe, five spent cartridges, and several charms, all of which were found on them.
The altercation also resulted in minor injuries for a police officer and two vigilantes. The Nigerian Tribune said that, before the police interaction with the Aye cultists, the Aye had shot and killed an Eye cult member just as he was leaving Shodimu’s house.
Shodimu claimed that he was the one who prepared the bulletproof and protection charms for the cultists, which is why he was the one who was arrested.
He claimed that he had worked as a timber truck driver before entering the field of traditional medicine and divination. ” However, I was just in a car accident and suffered two broken legs. To better serve my clients, I began meeting with them in the master’s hut in the hamlet. I was subsisting on what little there was. It’s me, so to speak. We gave the police the names of other cult members and led them to the native doctor, who had traditionally strengthened us.
I have never murdered out of spite or for anyone. I’d hear about murders, but it wasn’t always us who committed them. “The murder that ultimately led to our detention was the one that occurred only recently in the Ikija neighborhood where we were residing.”
This individual was a member of the Eiye Confraternity. For charms and alerts, he sought out our native doctor but found himself trapped in his office.
“How and why our enemy perished
I had no idea what had caused the dispute between them. That day, I merely wanted to go there to smoke pot. I didn’t take part in the murders at all. I’ve been on this medication for a very long time.”
After being informed by his officers on the crime situation in the state, the command’s police head told the Nigerian Tribune that he sketched out tactics to deal with the criminal elements so that the good people of the state may sleep with both eyes closed.
Tactical squads and divisional police officers from the command attended, and they were given the go-ahead to confront criminals wherever they may be located in the state. This is the culmination of many different types of strategic operations designed to root out criminals, he said.
In doing so, he cautioned thieves that “the beat has changed and the dancing steps must follow suit.” Criminals in the state should leave now that conditions there are unfavorable to their activities.
We’re going to use every tool in our arsenal to take the fight to the criminals who fund and support them.
Law-abiding residents can be certain that they will always be protected, and we ask for your help in fighting crime.
“You can help us by providing information that will be of use in our fight against crime across the state.”
