Tertiary Institutions to reopen in January for 2020/2021 academic year
President Nana Akufo-Addo has announced that all tertiary institutions in the country will reopen school next year January to start the 2020/2021 academic year.
President Akufo-Addo announced this in his 18th televised address to the nation monitored by Georgeweb.org on the government measures taken to slow and curb the novel coronavirus that has claimed at least 310 lives.
“SHS 2 and JHS 2 students are back in school, as are some students in tertiary institutions and colleges. Indeed, the academic year for new and continuing University students will commence from January 2021″, he said.
Meanwhile, the Management of the University of Ghana, Legon (UG) has proposed to begin the 2020/2021 academic year in November this year for Level 200 and Level 400 students.
