NAPO challenges former Education Minister to a debate on education
Ghana’s current Minister of Education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh popularly known as NAPO has dared former Education Minister, Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang to a national debate on the education sector.
NAPO speaking at the NPP Teachers’ Network Conference noted even though he is not a teacher but the country’s education under his supervision is better than that of during Jane Naana’s tenure in office.
“I am a Doctor and not a teacher. In three and half years, we have done a lot for teachers… I wish I get the opportunity to sit with the Professor who held the office I am holding, so we count one by one what has been achieved,” he challenged.
The Manhyia South Member of Parliament further said since he resumed office in 2017, there has been no single teacher demonstration or strike in the country, an achievement he said should convince Ghanaians to vote for the Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party in the December 7 general elections.
