WAEC’s threat to sue us over WASSCE report unfortunate – AEW
The Executive Director of Africa Education Watch, Mr Kofi Asare has described the legal action the West African Examinations Council has said is considering taking against his outfit over the 2020 WASSCE report as unfortunate.
Speaking in an interview with Citi FM monitored by EducationWeb.com.gh, Mr Asare said the 2020 WASSCE report is a proposal on how the Council can improve the conduct of the national examinations and not undermine their integrity.
“It is unfortunate that WAEC is threatening to take legal action against Africa Education Watch for its recent report. We are minded of the public interest and our focus is to support the government to reform the educational sector going forward and operate in a way that is more efficient and credible for the Ghanaian public,” he told Citi FM.
