How to complete your UCC 1 Year TOP-UP fee payment at GCB. If you have applied and gained Admission to pursue BeD in JHS Education – Sandwich, read through this to know the information you need for filling the payment form at GCB.
The form for paying this fee is the GBC SmartPay – Students Electronic fee/ Bill payment form.

Upon reaching the bank, request this form.
The details to be provided on the form are as follows.
1. The Branch of GCB where you made the payment.
2. The date on which payment was made in the order DD/MM/YY
3. The name of the student as it appears on the admission letter received.
4. You are to provide the name of the institution. (University of Cape Coast) – Institute of Education – Sandwich Fees)
5. Write your Student ID/ Admission Number as indicated on your admission letter.
6. Provide the name of the programme you have gained admission for: the BeD in JHS Education – Sandwich
7. Student status – Choose regular and not fee-paying.
A fee-paying school is one where parents pay the school directly for their children’s education. used to refer to people who pay for something rather than getting it for free: The school is attended by fee-paying students from many countries
Fee-paying students are those who did not pass for the examination but were given admission or those who had protocol although they do not meet the minimum requirements. Hence their fee is usually more than the regular students. Kindly cross check before you make an error.

- Tuition fees for fee-paying students are extravagantly high as compared to regular students.
- Regular students normally have to meet the cutoff point before they are admitted to study a particular programme. However, fee-paying students just have to meet the minimum requirements to study a programme.
- The fee-paying policy mostly applies to foreign students, but Ghanaians who haven’t met the minimum cut off point can also apply and pay the same fee as foreign students.
8. Write the amount paid in figures: Ghs2000.00 and in words: Two Thousand Ghana Cedis Only. Make the entries for the various cedi denominations you are presenting to the bank.
9. For the mode of payment, you are advised to pay by cash hence thick cash.
10. Indicate the name of the one paying, telephone number, and sign to complete the registration process at the bank before you hand the form and the fees to the cashier at the bank.
The most important thing to carefully write is your REGISTRATION NUMBER (admission number) and programme. But make sure all other information provided is accurate.
Wait till you receive your duplicate copy as proof of payment. Keep this document very well. You can scan it onto your phone or email and also make copies just in case something goes wrong.
