Gyakie Becomes First Ghanaian Artist To Be Featured On Apple Music’s Home Session
Songbird, Gyakie has by and by set Ghana up for life by turning into the first Ghanaian artist to be featured on Apple Music’s Home Session series.
This session by Apple is a special series started during Lockdown, where artists are urged to record from their homes, reconsidered stripped-back versions of some of their songs including a front of some other song of their decision.
For her session, Gyakie performed three songs off her “My Diary” EP. She sang a Reggae version of her soulful song, “Far Away” and on “For My Baby“, she rethought a sweet spotless version of the Highlife song prior to switching “Waka” into an intriguing Stone cover.
As a sign of approval for one of her influences: Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall artist, Samini previously known as Batman Samini, Gyakie played out a smooth front of his hit song, “waka” a known and loved song by Ghanaians.
On why she selected these songs, the Flip The Music signed artist is cited by Apple Music saying “These songs are special to me because of how soulful they are.”
Considering the effect the Coronavirus flare-up’s lockdown had on her profession, that’s what she added: “Lockdown trained me to work two times as much as usual. I also took advantage of various things to expand my inventiveness.
I figured out how to expeditiously have faith in my sound more and work. I also got to learn new things that I have applied in my composition, recording, and my art overall.”
Since the Lockdown, Gyakie’s scored several spots on worldwide charts with her music. She’s developed turned into a named and grant-winning artist projected to become perhaps of Ghana’s biggest artists, worldwide.
The last two years have been a rollercoaster for Gracie. Her smash hit, “Everlastingly,” bested charts in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya. It turned into the most Shazamed song at a certain point, and it went to number one on Bulletin’s Top Triller Worldwide. In Walk 2021, she inked an arrangement with Sony Music and RCA, UK. Just last month, she was featured in the Grammy Natural Tea session.
With this large number of successes and achievements, the nature of her music never dropped, however, became far superior.
